Volunteers who require the ability to send mail from a fireflyartscollective.org address, access secure list archives, or collaborate using G Suite (Google Apps) for Firefly will receive a Firefly Account. Typically these are Core, Cluster, or Committee Leads, but if you think you need a Firefly Account just send mail to tech@fireflyartscollective.org and ask!

The default for new Firefly email addresses is to forward all mail to your personal email address. This is the simplest option, but doesn't let you use all the features of your Firefly Account.

If you use Gmail for your personal email, it's easy to configure it to let to send mail from your Firefly email address. See How to Use Firefly Email with Gmail to configure this.

If you don't use Gmail, need to access secure list archives, or just want to keep your Firefly email as a separate account (like you would at work), you can use the Firefly Zimbra email server directly. See How to Use Firefly Email with Zimbra to learn more.

How to Change Your Password

One of the first things you should do is update your password to a unique one that only you know. Password changes are done through the Zimbra web interface. See the page How to Use Firefly Email with Zimbra for how to log in, and then scroll down to the section on "Changing Your Password".

Using G Suite (Google Apps) for Firefly

Firefly has it's own managed access to Google Drive which you can access at http://drive.fireflyartscollective.org/ You can also get to it from https://drive.google.com/ if you are signed in to your Firefly Account. You can tell you're in the right place if there's a Firefly logo in the upper left of the window. If not, click on the round icon in the upper right and select your Firefly account or click "Add Account" to sign in.

Right now, most Firefly documents are in the Public Google Drive.  This means documents are owned by various people who come and go, and documents can be lost over time if accounts are deleted.  Separately, our documents are less organized than they could be. Over time, we will try to migrate our documents to the Firefly-managed Google Drive.

For help accessing documents in G Suite for Firefly, see Accessing G Suite for Firefly.
